Bloc Productions fundraise for Sanctuary Transport fund at Bristol Hippodrome

From the 4th-8th of October, Bristol was treated to a fantastic production of Fiddler on the Roof, the much loved classic musical about a family making their way in imperial Russia. unnamed-1
Bloc Productions
, the brains behind this amateur production, were kind enough to invite Bristol City of Sanctuary to the Bristol Hippodrome to have a stand at each performance, raising money for the Bristol City of Sanctuary Transport Fund.

It was a fantastic opportunity to be present for what Bristol Post described as “a production not to be missed” and we were delighted to be invited to raise both awareness and funds. Those lucky enough to be in the audience for the show were very warm and responsive to the fund, and in their generosity donated a whooping £588 to help fund bus tickets for destitute sanctuary seekers in the city. We at Bristol City of Sanctuary are so grateful to Bloc Productions, the Bristol Hippodrome, the brilliant volunteers who helped on the stand and the generous audience at the show.
