City of Sanctuary is a national movement to build a culture of hospitality for people seeking sanctuary in the UK. Its goal is to create a network of towns and cities throughout the UK which are proud to be places of safety, and which include people seeking sanctuary fully in the life of their communities.
Signing the organisational pledge is a simple way of showing your support for our vision of a city that truly welcomes people seeking sanctuary. For any organisation looking to pursue a Sanctuary Award, signing the pledge is the very first first step.

- Publicly endorse the ‘City of Sanctuary’ vision that the UK will be a welcoming place of safety for all and proud to offer sanctuary to people fleeing violence and persecution.
- Recognise the contribution of people seeking sanctuary and are committed to welcoming and including them in their activities.
- Are willing for their name and website to be added to a list of supporters of Bristol City of Sanctuary. They are also willing to be contacted with further ideas for how we can turn their support into practical action and to discuss ways we might work together to promote the vision further.
