The Stanstead 15 are activists who chained themselves to a UK Home Office charter flight plane to prevent deportations of people whose cases for asylum were not yet resolved. In October 2018 they were charged under a terrorism law the Aviation and Maritime Security Act 1990, which was brought into law after the Lockerbie bombing and carries a maximum life sentence. Some of those facing deportation on that flight have since been given leave to remain in the UK, other cases are still pending. The fifteen are due to be sentenced in February 2019, so hence the urgency of this film. They have appealed their conviction and the appeal will be heard.

This 20-minute film by director Sue Clayton made with the Stansted 15โ€™s approval, is free to watch and screen, and what happens next is truly shocking and should concern us all.
