On the 3rd of March 2020, the Refugee, Asylum Seeker and Inclusion Strategy was approved by the Cabinet of Bristol City Council. A few weeks later we went into lockdown, and life as we knew it changed overnight. Local organisations had to immediately adapt to continue delivering vital services, and the community came together to support one another. We have been so proud of the response, and it is great to see that reflected in this report, along with the work that has been happening alongside that to make Bristol a true City of Sanctuary. May we continue to work together to build a city of welcome, safety and hope for all.
