What do we offer?
We offer bespoke training for staff and governors that:
- Explains the School of Sanctuary (SoS) award process
- Develops a shared understanding of key terminology
- Dispels common myths around the experiences of sanctuary seekers, both locally and nationally
- We provide a personal insight into the lived experience of being a refugee, shared by our staff member, Homa Banaei.
This training lasts approximately one hour and is typically delivered during a staff meeting or INSET session.
We also provide specialist safeguarding training to deepen staff understanding of the specific safeguarding needs and challenges faced by asylum seekers and refugees.
