The Migrantsโ€™ Law Project offers training and advice to charities and community groups assisting asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants, to help them build their knowledge of the system their clients must negotiate. We also bring groups together to discuss issues of concern โ€“ for example, systemic failures in the system โ€“ and then gather evidence and undertake strategic litigation to push for change. For example, we are currently working with Refugee Action, the Red Cross, and the Northern Refugee Centre to challenge delays to Section 4 support for failed asylum seekers making fresh claims, as well as working on Zimbabwe country guidance, the detention of victims of torture, and other issues.
