The Lord Mayor of Bristol is hosting a tea and cake for sanctuary seekers and supporters of city of sanctuary at Mansion House today, Wednesday 19th.
The day is organised as part of celebrating refugee week , raise awareness about the challenges faced by people seeking sanctuary, promote an inclusive society and above all, to demonstrate the city’s commitment and efforts in making Bristol a real city of sanctuary.
Speakers at this gathering will include Mike Kaye from Still Human, Still Here campaign who address the meeting about he described as, “what Still Human believes should happen so that we can end destitution in the asylum seekers system and what the challenges are to securing these changes.”
