On the 6th of March 2015, Bristol City of Sanctuary hosted the Ending Asylum Destitution conference. Over 180 delegates from around the country attended, hearing from sanctuary seekers, MPs and activists. The conference culminated in the signing of a statement to end destitution by Bristol’s first elected mayor, George Ferguson.
