BRASP (Bristol Refugee and Asylum Seeker Partnership) is a partnership between sixteen local organisations supporting people seeking sanctuary in the city. In July of this year, we met with Thangam Debbonaire MP, to discuss the Nationality and Borders Bill and the impact it will have on people seeking sanctuary here. We were struck by the passion and experience in the meeting, with each representative highlighting ways in which this bill will devastate not only people who have not yet arrived, but also those already part of our community.
We have asked various members of BRASP to work together on a series of blogs, which will explore different aspects of the bill.
